The use of many different systems usually requires a greater amount of organisation and administration, which also costs money. The same is true when office supplies are bought by individual departments rather than centrally. On top of this, there is often a mixture of different contract forms, such as leasing, renting or purchase, which tie up capital unnecessarily.
Prior to recommending a system, we gain a comprehensive insight into our clients document workflow. We first conduct a detailed as-is analysis of all output systems in use, including the systems utilisation, efficiency and cost. We consider every output system on its own and as part of a whole, from the copier system for an entire floor, to the central fax or the small workplace printer.
Once we understand the workflow, we tailor make a holistic, cost optimised solution that caters for both the electronic and hard copy document workflow and ensures streamlined document management and optimum use of resources.
We see our relationship with our clients as a partnership rather than playing a mere supplier role. Our values of reliability, professionalism and expertise are embedded in our corporate culture. Our partnerships are successful as they are based on mutual trust, clear communication and fairness.
We distribute and maintain products through a network of branches, exclusive dealers and non-exclusive dealers. We also support distribution in Namibia and Botswana. Our support services to our dealers include sales, technical training and marketing support measures.
The Utax brand name was launched in the 1960's in Germany. Developing a large Dealer Network became a priority. The Utax brand name became a familiar sight in South Africa after its local debut in 1987 when the distribution rights were acquired by Corporate Imaging Solutions. By 1998 there were significant sales locally and into neighboring African countries.
Utax South Africa was formed in 2005 when Corporate Imaging Solutions was acquired in a multi million rand acquisition. It was decided that in order to assist marketing efforts it would be preferable to change the Corporate Imaging Solutions name to reflect the name of the Utax machines.
Utax South Africa was born and for a period of 6 years was the sole importer of the UTAX range of multi-functional devices and printers, which was sourced from the Utax Head Office in Hamburg, Germany. The company enjoyed tremendous growth in response to increasingly sophisticated market requirements. This included opening a rental and a telecoms division and launching new ranges and office concepts in line with the latest technology supplied by the manufacturer, Kyocera Mita Corporation.
In 2008 Kyocera Mita Corporation increased their stake in Utax GmbH (Germany) from 19% to 100% in a strategic move designed to grow their base and protect their market share. Utax South Africa continued to import the UTAX brand of their Kyocera units from UTAX GmbH until September 1st 2011.
At this time the Directors of Utax South Africa decided to align the company more directly with the Kyocera brand in another strategic move which is destined to capture market share and improve market recognition. The company was re-launched as Kyocera Corporate Business Solutions. Kyocera CBS is now a specialist product and service provider for award winning Kyocera copiers, printers, multi-functional office products and solutions. Kyocera CBS distribute these products within the borders of South Africa through a network of dealers and branches.
